Learning Engagement Manager
Job Summary
The Learning Engagement Manager is an integral part of the CH1 Consulting team, serving in a learning strategy and content development role in support of client projects. The Learning Engagement Manager will also support the execution of project management-related tasks for appropriate projects.
Key Job Responsibilities
Learning Strategy, Content Development & Business Alignment
- Conducts comprehensive learning needs analyses, including reviewing client materials, identifying content gaps, and recommending targeted content solutions
- Engages with life sciences clients to understand business strategies, brand priorities, field force objectives, and desired behavior changes, ensuring all learning experiences reinforce these imperatives
- Leads conversations with clients to translate business and brand strategy into learning strategy; identifying the learner audience, defining learning objectives, and determining the behaviors learners must demonstrate in their daily roles
- Designs Curriculum Roadmaps that outline recommended modalities, content flow, and course sequencing, serving as a strategic blueprint for content development
- Creates purposeful, immersive, and memorable learning experiences across modalities (e.g., in-person workshops, virtual modules, webinars, microlearning, and job aids)
- Ensures all instructional content aligns with client goals, brand positioning, compliance requirements, and company culture
- Translates complex scientific, clinical, and strategic concepts into clear, engaging learning materials appropriate for field teams and other life sciences learners
Learner-Centered Design & Behavior Pull-Through
- Applies adult learning principles to craft experiences that drive behavior change and real-world performance
- Identifies key learner personas, their motivations, challenges, and daily realities, ensuring content is highly relevant and actionable
- Designs learning experiences that enable learners to practice defined behaviors, reinforcing how they should apply new knowledge and skills on the job
- Measures learning impact and identifies opportunities to strengthen behavior pull-through through reinforcement strategies, coaching tools, and ongoing learning support
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in life sciences, pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, or healthcare training preferred
- Strong understanding of brand strategy, customer segmentation, and field team dynamics
- Ability to synthesize complex clinical and strategic information into accessible, engaging learning content
- Skilled in client communication, including facilitating discussions that uncover learning needs and business objectives
- Experience with adult learning theory, instructional design models, and modern learning modalities
Job Requirements
- Required: 4-year college degree
- Required: High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Required: Excellent writing skills
- Preferred: 5 years pharma/biotech industry experience
- Preferred: Background in Client or Account Management role, Background in Biopharm Training, Background in Instructional Design, Background in Project Management
